my d3000 fell into a lake and for over a week it was dead. but after taking it apart and drying it I finally got it to turn on. only problem now is when the shutter is released, it keeps saying instilization error. I bought a new battery and formatted the card but to no avail. is there anything that could be done, I mean I made it this far so trying won't hurt. also this is my first post so if it's in the wrong section, relax.
unbelievable - it works again? Lucky you!
Did you try to install a new Firmware to it? This should be possible also if you already have the latest version.
